Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord!
In this edition of ACSI Europe HIGHLIGHTS I would like to give you a brief report on two trips of visiting Christian schools.
Jesus says in Luke 17:21 "the kingdom of God is in your midst". During the two weeks before Easter, I was visiting Christian schools in the USA and in Romania. In the USA I was with 22 Christian school leaders from Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, and Hungary visiting four Christian schools. We learned a lot about what makes Christian schools effective in preparing the next generation for God's Kingdom work. Then I was visiting four Christian schools in Romania with two Christian school leaders from Holland. We met with school leaders, spoke to teachers, and student groups during our visits. I can summarise our experiences at the Christian schools best by saying that we had a chance to experience and enjoy the kingdom of God through the school communities we were visiting.

What is education for? For educators, there is perhaps no more important question than this one. Our answer defines what we believe our profession is about and frames the way we teach and how our students learn. For Christian educators, our understanding of the purpose of education needs to be framed by a Biblical worldview.

This article explores key needs such as teacher formation, mission-informed decision making, and regular rhythms of strategic reflection.
Insights from Christian School Leaders - part 1
At IELC 2026, school leaders from across Europe participated in a short survey designed to explore a simple but important question: How closely do our daily practices reflect the Christian mission we profess? The responses provided a valuable snapshot of the current reality in many European Christian schools. Several clear themes emerged that are worth continued reflection and demand that we work together to strengthen our schools and their impact across our region.
Course Offering - Foundations of leadership
Foundations of Christian School Leadership is an eight-week online formation course that guides school leaders from the convictions that shape a their identity through the governance, curriculum, financial accountability, and communication systems that give those convictions institutional form arriving at a final week focused on sustainable, integrative leadership rooted in the leader's ongoing formation in Christ.
